Session #6 The last session. Chapter 17
If we do not get together with those who share our purpose our lives could fall apart. I always think of the game Jenga. If too many pieces are pulled out, the tower falls over. That is what happens when we don’t come together with those who share the same purpose. If we try and walk alone with a purpose our purpose may seem less important. That is why there are churches and clubs.
My purpose is to glorify God in all that I do and that is why I go to church. We share the same purpose and we encourage eachother to press on by praying, helping those in need, and talking about how God is growing us in our personal lives.
For those who have read this book you know that I am only about half way. The next sections in the book build off of what the first section is about. I hope those who have followed have enjoyed digging deep, and doing my little activities.

I’ve never read this book, but I’ve read a lot about it. I think it’s time to pick it up and read it. My husband has a copy of it. Your series will be great help.

This is making me want to re-read this book! I couldn’t agree more with how important community is. We will fall apart without it.

I love The Purpose Driven Life! I decided to do a small group for my tween daughter using parts of it. It’s the kind of book you can read over and over!

Love the Jenga analogy it’s such a great visual for this.
I would love for you to share this with The Cozy Reading Spot this weekend, or even next Thursday depending on your schedule.

I read this a long time ago because our church went through this book. The jenga illustration is a really good one!

Great Jenga illustration. The game is great, and you are so right–without purpose everything topples. Thank you for the reminder, and for sharing your purpose!

That is so true. We all can’t survive alone and we have people who we rely and who rely on us. If we start to crumble, the rest will follow.

We are all connected and what we do triggers a chain reaction even if we say that no one gets affected. I love the comparison that you made with jenga, because it’s so accurate.

I have yet to read this book, but I do have friends who recommend that it’s a good read. You did a good comparison with Jenga. I guess that in anything, it’s important that people should be on the same page & share a common understanding. It’s difficult to work, live, and move forward in an environment where people don’t share the same purpose.
