Today I was reading Numers 21 and 22 and images from my childhood Bible came to mind. I went to open it and sure enough on the bottom of the story was the chapter references. I am in my thirties and had terrible memory as a child. Being a visual learner seeing pictures or art or making art helped me remember lessons or stories. This was a reminder as a mom who is raising the next generation of believers to keep on reading, and keep on doing the activities as the Lord works on my children’s hearts.

The Old Testament can be daunting for new believers or brushed off because it was the Old Covenant. My connection this morning was awakening and encouraging. Most of the children’s Bibles have a reference for a deep dive of the story that goes along with the pictures. For someone who is a visual learner or are wanted to understand the story better look up the bottom references.
